This month, the Turn The Tables cookbook launched into the world and we are honoured to have been chosen as the book’s charity partner.
Turn The Tables is a charity cookbook comprising recipes from a wide selection of DJs and producers in electronic music. The book includes almost 60 recipes from artists such as Public Possession, Fantastic Man, rRoxymore, Peach, Saoirse, alongside contributions from members of the Open Music Lab community.
This cookbook was made with a lot of love and attention put into every page, full of delicious recipes and great stories. For this, we are so grateful to Eira Haul, for putting the book together and connecting it to the OML. It gives you a sense of what our community is like: a group of people united by a love of music and a belief in supporting an open and welcoming music scene.
One of our favourite recipes in the book, is Wael’s Traditional Syrian Falafel. Wael is man of many talents. He joined us in 2019 on our 5 month Music Production Course, making housey world music and downtempo beats, fusing Eastern and African instrumental samples with a focus on woodwind instruments.
The OML is completely volunteer and donation powered. Every purchase of the Turn The Tables aids our effort to make the music industry more equitable. It means we can continue to welcome in people like Wael and our growing community of students. We truly appreciate every token of support and if you would like to, the book is available to buy in physical and eBook on the Turn the Tables website here.
